密斯是现代派风格建筑大师之一，他的代表作范士沃斯住宅，常常让人们津津乐道。作品形体简洁，表达大方，建筑语言阐述明白，后人可以很简单的从中学习现代风格的建筑表达。（一下省略1000字）
这个作品最让人欣慰的是，他做到了现代风格和自然呼吸的交流和互动。要知道，大多数现代风格作品都是更适合城市的。作品是落座在一处冲积平原的岸堤上，当河流漫漫时，水位将上涨，漫过河岸，将来自上流的泥沙铺满到整个平原地区，肥沃一片土地。（好吧，我们一直在治理黄河，黄河是不是，具有冲积性呢？）枯水季节和丰水季节，作品都可以很好的融入到环境之中。大方得体，堂堂正正。特别是水位上升时，建筑犹如水国中的一片净土，沉默有力。
那么，2008年秋天的水位显然超过了建筑师的想象。可以看到，建筑的水位很深啊。
考虑到以后高水位可能继续，该建筑管理机构的网站现在全球求助，希望有一个完美的方案来解决这一困局。当然他们给出了一个列表，希望我们的创意不要和列表上的重复了。还希望我们可以在成本上，可行性上，建筑艺术表现上都完美考虑。。。。米国人民谢谢各位了。
