詹姆斯瓦特是一个太阳能机械昆虫的制造者，这只蜻蜓则是他最杰出的作品。

蜻蜓体内的微型发动机由微型太阳能板收集的能量驱动，非常的惟妙惟肖。不过，我们还是只能推测或者说想象这只蜻蜓的翅膀有多么无力，在空中他会如何失去平衡，这让我想到了玩具总动员里的巴斯光年。
