真不敢相信DNA技术进度步到今天这个地步，与我们所知的动物克隆、亲子鉴定相比，这个重建古老病毒的消息更让人吃惊。

在去年，美国政府的科学家重建了导致1918年大流感的病毒。如今法国的一个研究组已经重建了影响人类百万年前的远祖的一种病毒。他们并非是从化石中提取病毒的，相反，他们从当今人类的基因中寻找那些病毒的残余。
